Germany, France and Denmark joined Spain, Egypt and Romania in the main round, delivering clear wins in the final matches of day 2 of the 2025 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship.

Romania, Spain and Egypt are the first three teams to qualify for the main round of the 2025 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship, securing their second wins in as many matches.

A high-paced match between the Faroe Islands and Iceland ended in a 35:35 draw, further complicating the matters in Group F, while Spain became the first team to win their first two matches at Poland 2025, after a clear win against Saudi Arabia, 35:27.

The second day of the 2025 IHF Men’s Junior World Championship in Poland can already provide some of the teams progressing to the main round, but heavy battkes are to be expected between some European sides, which have already won in the first day.

Down two goals in the last quarter of the match, reigning champions Germany bounced back to take a 30:29 win against Serbia in their opener at Poland 2025, while hosts Poland opened their account with a 39:16 win over Uruguay. France, Japan and Switzerland also started the competition victorious.

Slovenia salvaged a late draw against Norway, 33:33, in the first match in Group A at Poland 2025, while both Denmark and Sweden each scored over 40 goals in their wins against Morocco and the Republic of Korea respectively.

In a fiery battle between North Macedonia and the Faroe Islands, the latter side emerged as winners, with a 33:28 win which puts them on the top of Group F. Medal contenders Hungary, Croatia and Egypt also threw off the 2025 IHF Men’s World Championship with wins.
